Abstract Portraits

A thoughtful portrait shaped around the character and presence of one individual.

A More Personal Way to Capture Character

I create each commissioned portrait from a close look at the subject, using reference images and conversation to understand the feeling you want the artwork to carry. The finished painting can remain recognisable while making room for expressive colour, abstract forms, and marks that suggest more than a literal likeness.

The process is collaborative without becoming complicated. I consider the mood, scale, palette, and degree of abstraction with you before developing the painting, then refine the work with care so it feels both visually distinctive and personally connected to its subject.

Ideal For

• A meaningful portrait of yourself or someone close

• A personal gift with lasting artistic value

• Clients drawn to expressive, abstract interpretation

• A distinctive artwork for a home or collection

How It Works

1. Share Your Vision: Tell me about the subject, preferred mood, and reference images.

2. Develop The Portrait: I interpret the subject through expressive painting and abstract detail.

3. Refine The Artwork: I review the developing piece carefully and complete it with a considered finish.
